Tunga, Leyte – Strum the strings! Hit the drums! Strike the cymbals! Tune the organ! And let the battle begins! It is how the Ruby Jubilee of Leyte III Electric Cooperative, Inc. (LEYECO III) rocks the 40th Founding Anniversary.

 

Five (5) well-organized band in the coverage area of LEYECO III compete for the honour as the Best Band in the Battle of the Band spearheaded by the coop to grace more the Foundation Anniversary which was held on October 30, 2015.

 

The competition was open to all interested band within the nine (9) municipalities under the franchise coverage area of LEYECO III namely: Santa Fe, Pastrana, San Miguel, Alangalang, Jaro, Tunga, Barugo, Carigara and Capoocan.

 

The “The Expendables Band” which was composed of young players from different municipalities bested all other contestants. It bagged the first prize with a cash prize at stake.

 

“The Battle of the Band spearheaded by LEYECO III is the best venue for the neophyte band to shine in the world of music and rock in roll,” said LEYECO III Board President Cornelio Q. Brazil.

The Battle of the Band was hosted by the renowned ABS-CBN Davao City reporter Danjo Revilla and the reigning Miss FRECORLYMPICS 2015 Louiesa Kay Barretto.
